eMail lists
eMail lists
As a community service to the Southeast Aurora Neighborhood Watch and it’s members, I have created and maintain a series of email mailing lists. These mailing lists serve our local Neighborhood Watch. (serving Tollgate Crossing, Sorrel Ranch, Wheatlands, Beacon Point, Southshore, Tallyn’s Reach, Serenity Ridge, Black Stone, Saddle Rock - North, Heritage Eagle Bend, and Rocking Horse). See below for mailing list policy regarding ‘commercial solicitations’. See the Policy page for overall policies.
Neighoborhood Watch
(Serving Tollgate Crossing, Sorrel Ranch, Wheatlands, Beacon Point, Southshore, Tallyn’s Reach, Serenity Ridge, Black Stone, Saddle Rock - North, Heritage Eagle Bend, and Rocking Horse).
Our area Neighborhood Watch is served by several mailing lists. The first is an open list, available to any member of the Southeast Aurora Neighborhood Watch. The second is a private list, available to Watch Captains of Tollgate Crossing, and the rest are used to inform residents of various communities. The Southeast Aurora Neighborhood Watch serves several communities (Tollgate Crossing, Sorrel Ranch, Wheatlands, Beacon Point, Southshore, Tallyn’s Reach, Serenity Ridge, Black Stone, Saddle Rock - North, Heritage Eagle Bend, and Rocking Horse. (We’re Growing!)), and these mailing lists allow us to effectively communicate with concerned citizens and watch/block captains. We use these lists in order to distribute safety and security related information for the communities listed above.
The first list - The entire Neighborhood Watch area
<neighborhoodwatch-subscribe@southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org>
<http://www.southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org/mailman/listinfo/neighborhoodwatch>
Membership is reserved and postings are moderated. This list is used by the Neighborhood Watch leadership in order to disseminate safety and security related information to the members of the list/community. Neighborhood Watch leadership will send email to all the list members by sending email to this list. Law enforcement authorities participate in and contribute to the information distributed on/by this list. It may contain information vital to the safety and security of our communities. I urge you to consider some involvement in our Neighborhood Watch. Even if you can’t volunteer as a block/watch captain, or help us with various events/activities, you are still welcome and encouraged to join our mailing list. It doesn’t cost a penny, and the benefits may help you prevent a crime or catch a crook.
If you would like to receive periodic updates, bulletins and information from our watch group, please subscribe to the neighborhood watch mailing list. Subscription to the list can be accomplished by sending an email to: <neighborhoodwatch-subscribe@southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org>. Make sure you send the email from an address where you are willing to receive email.
Shortly after sending your subscription request, you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the instructions in the confirmation message, and your email address will be added to our mailing list. (Your email address will not be sold, leased, rented or otherwise disclosed to anyone outside the mailing list.)
If you have questions, or encounter problems with the mailing list/subscription. Please feel free to email our administrator directly (see below). If you would like to unsubscribe from the list, simply send an email to the unsubscribe address: <neighborhoodwatch-unsubscribe@southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org>
The second list - Tollgate Block captains
<tollgateblockcaptains-subscribe@southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org>
<http://www.southeastaurora-neighborhoodwatch.org/mailman/listinfo/watchcaptains>
Membership is reserved. This list is used by the Neighborhood Watch block/watch captains residing in Tollgate Crossing. It is a two-way list. Allowing communication between all the watch/block captains. If you are a block/watch captain, your email address will be added to that email mailing list. The Head Area Coordinator (Judy Van Meter) provides the names of watch captains, and I add them to the subscription list manually. This list is used for communications that primarily concern watch captains. When to pick up and distribute flyers, organization of Neighborhood Watch events, etc. Please be aware that watch captains may be subscribed to multiple lists, and sometimes you may receive messages on more than one list. When replying to the watch captains mailing list, your response is sent to all the other watch captains. Any watch captain may initiate a message exchange/discussion on the watch captains mailing list.

Regarding Commercial Solicitation on the Southeast Aurora Neighborhood Watch mailing lists. The neighborhood watch mailing lists are focused on safety and security/neighborhood watch concerns, and should remain that way. No commercial solicitation of any sort are allowed on the Neighborhood Watch mailing list(s)). You may not advertise any personal/commercial business on any of the Southeast Aurora Neighborhood Watch mailing lists. If I see activity which looks like MLM, your personal business* or any commercial venture, you may be removed from the list for cause. See our Policy page for more info. Under no circumstance will the website/mailing list administrator, owner, operator be responsible for any business dealings, negotiations, or deals gone bad.
* What do you mean by “not your personal business”: I’m talking about something you do to make a living, a primary source of income, or some business that produces a taxable income (whether or not you declare the income). Hopefully, you understand what I’m talking about. Selling a set of snow tires because you got bigger rims isn’t a ‘personal business’. Running ‘Tupperware Parties’ from your home is. Selling that old 40” television because you bought a new 60” flatscreen isn’t a ‘personal business’. Your four person landscaping company is. Your 15 year old son cutting lawns for some summer spending cash isn’t a ‘personal business’, but selling vendor supplied cleaning products is. If you have questions about this policy, feel free to email me.
